The track and personnel listing for CD II is in “Blues CD Volume II” link in “About the Recordings” page. The CD is getting close to final stages of mixing and editing and I hope to have it out soon. Will post mp3s of the CD once it is finished. If you want a copy of CD II when it’s done and/or a copy of CD I, email your address to kbf@nyc.rr.com. The CDs are free.

Here’s a brief update on 3 upcoming gigs I have through the rest of 2007. I’ll be playing at the Bitter End with “Mid-Life Tom & the Crisis” on Friday Dec. 7 at 7:00pm. Also playing at the Bitter End on Friday Dec. 21 with both the “Jenny Amlen Band” and “Mobychick”. Start time for those shows has not yet been determined.

Here’s Beauties & the Beasts performing a cover of “Straight On” by Heart. Will post more mp3s later on. For some reason, in the past two days, I’ve been having a hard time posting more than one mp3 at a time.

Straight On

Here are three mp3 recordings from last night’s show at the Bitter End. Jenny Amlen sang lead on “Don’t Stop Believing” and Suzanne Levy sang lead on “Hit Me With Your Best Shot”. Ed Howe sang “Forever Man”. The recording quality is good considering it is not mixed and doesn’t have the “live quality” that came through at the show.

It was a great night. The set went over exceptionally well with the crowd and the band had a great time playing. Check out Tom Appel’s bass playing on “Don’t Stop Believing”. He hits every note exactly like the original recording. The same goes for Ed Howe’s guitar playing. Unfortunately, Mike Gismondi was sick and couldn’t play with us last night. Get well, Mikey!!!!!!

Hit Me With Your Best Shot

Forever Man

Mid-Life Tom & the Crisis, featuring Tom Marshella (voc), Mike Gismondi (gtr), Sam Coley (keys), Tom Appel (bass), and me on drums will be performing our annual Christmas show at the Bitter End as part of the Studio.com’s Performance Night. Exact date and time not yet available. Stay tuned …
